特稿｜中瑙复交开启两国交流合作新篇章

中国和瑙鲁24日签署中瑙关于恢复外交关系的联合公报，决定即日起恢复大使级外交关系。

中瑙复交是大势所趋，符合民意。瑙鲁各界纷纷表示期待两国以复交为契机，加深人文交流，扩大务实合作，让合作成果更好惠及两国民众。

共谱交流新篇章

瑙鲁多元文化事务部秘书长丹尼尔·埃奥表示，瑙鲁与中国恢复外交关系令人振奋，开启了瑙中关系新篇章。

瑙鲁共和国位于中太平洋，由一个独立的珊瑚礁岛及周边海域构成，旅游资源丰富。瑙鲁民众期待以瑙中复交为契机，通过发展旅游业吸引更多中国游客，增进两国民众之间的了解与友谊。

瑙鲁内政部长查梅茵·斯科蒂接受新华社采访时表示，随着中国传统节日春节的临近，瑙鲁居民对春节日益熟悉，届时岛上将会举行舞龙等传统活动，为节日增添喜庆氛围。斯科蒂提到，瑙鲁人喜爱中餐，当地拥有不少中餐馆，期待春节期间能有更多中国游客前来体验瑙鲁的美食文化。

斯科蒂表示，相比于其他太平洋岛国，瑙鲁的旅游业发展仍有待提升，他希望未来能以发展旅游业为契机，加强瑙中人文交流，促进两国友好关系。

国之交在于民相亲。恢复交往后，两国人民往来将更加便利。斯科蒂2010年曾率团来华参加上海世博会。她对那次访问记忆犹新，希望有机会再次到访中国，尤其想去长城“打卡”。

当地居民伊丽丝·博尔顿也对两国恢复交往感到兴奋。“我喜欢中国文化，希望能尽快去中国旅游，感受那里的风土人情。”

期待合作结硕果

在瑙鲁岛西南部，一座现代化码头已初具规模。由中资企业承建的艾沃港码头升级改造项目，不仅为当地人带来先进技术和就业机会，还加强了这个太平洋岛国同世界的联通，推动了当地经济发展。

27-year-old Sylvester was among the initial Nauruans to join the construction endeavor. He acquired skills from Chinese workers starting from the basics, not only becoming proficient in steel bar tying techniques but also picking up some Chinese language. Sylvester shared with Xinhua journalists that his present earnings have doubled compared to before, enabling him to provide better for his three children. Upon learning about the Nauru government's declaration of intent to restore diplomatic ties with China, Sylvester expressed his delight and anticipation for further involvement in upcoming Chinese construction undertakings.

At present, Chinese enterprises are actively involved in the development of a photovoltaic power generation and energy storage system project in Nauru. Liu Ye, the project's production manager, pointed out that Nauru's current power supply is heavily dependent on diesel generators, leading to high expenses and environmental pollution. Once the project is successfully completed, the power supply in Nauru will be enhanced, and the expenses associated with power generation will be significantly lowered.

According to Joanna Olsen, the director of the Nauru Government News Office, the joint implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative is creating fresh prospects for Pacific island nations like Nauru. She expressed a desire for increased tangible collaboration between the two sides in the times ahead.

Eo, the Secretary of the Department of Multicultural Affairs in Nauru, remarked, "China's emphasis on fostering partnerships among developing nations on a global scale, rather than limiting cooperation to specific countries, is commendable. The people of Nauru eagerly anticipate collaboration across various sectors between the two nations."

共同面对挑战，共同谋求发展

瑙鲁的气候受到了极大的影响。一项联合瑙鲁和澳大利亚政府进行的研究发现，自1950年以来，瑙鲁的平均气温每10年上升了0.15至0.25摄氏度。周边海域的温度也呈现出相似的趋势。从1993年开始，瑙鲁附近的海平面每年都在上升，每年上升速度约为5毫米，高于全球平均水平。这一升温和上升的趋势给岛上居民带来了极大的挑战。

斐济常驻联合国代表萨蒂延德拉·普拉萨德曾指出，太平洋岛屿正面临着因气候变化而产生的巨大挑战。海平面的不断上升已经威胁到了一些岛屿的淡水供应，居民不得不通过其他途径获取饮用水。

奥尔森表示，期待与中国加强在应对气候变化领域的合作，希望引入中方的绿色循环经济创新技术，以帮助瑙鲁摆脱“靠天吃水”的困境。

近年来，中国高度重视太平洋岛国所面临的气候变化问题，积极采取行动，帮助这些国家增强应对气候变化的能力。为此，中央政府成立了“中国－太平洋岛国应对气候变化合作中心”，并多次举办“应对气候变化与绿色低碳发展”南南合作培训班，援助了大量物资。

埃奥对于中方提出的“构建人类命运共同体”理念表示完全赞同，相信通过与中国的合作，瑙鲁和其他太平洋岛国可以相互学习、共同发展，这将对整个地区都产生积极的影响。
